I decided this morning that I need to document my projects. I want to hold myself accountable for completing projects, but also to show *someone* that Rug Hooking really is just pulling one loop at a time. I'm not sure who will find this, but I hope to inspire someone.
I got started last year- looking for something to fill a void during COVID. I ordered a kit with four floral coasters, a hook and a hoop from Parris House Woolworks. It showed up the first week of January. One coaster in, and I was hooked! I followed up with taking a beginner's class. I was successful with my coasters, using some online videos, and a blog post with instructions, they turned out fine. But I had some questions. I knew learning more would be awesome. So I signed up for an on-line class with my mom. We had a 12x12 heart pattern called Two Solitudes by Parris House Wool Works. After the first day of the two-day class, I decided to try a different hook. So I bought one, and then another and found that the right hook for me made all the difference in the world. It took 3 hooks, but it was suddenly easy. My mom still struggled, and decided it wasn't for her, but I found my outlet. I found something that inspired me. It grounded me. And I need to keep pulling up loops.
